The nominations for the Barclaycard Mercury Prize 2009 have been announced and already the bookmakers have put Kasabian as joint favourites for the award. They share the position with Florence and the Machine, with both having odds of 5-1.
Not far behind the favourites are Glasvegas, Bat for Lashes and La Roux all quoted at 6-1.
