The second track to be taken from Beverley Knight’s latest album 100% is In Your Shoes, the track features Chipmunk and is released today through Hurricane Records.
The track is built round a sample from the eighties classic Rip It Up by Orange Juice and has been dubbed by many critics as the stand out track from the album. Featuring the line ‘Get Yourself A Life- and Make It Work!’ the song is Knight’s response to those who waste time moaning and being jealous of other people rather than focusing on their own issues. 100% is Beverley’s sixth studio album, and a set that sees the triple Mobo award winning star working with illustrious former writing partners including Guy Chambers as well as Grammy Award winning legends Jam and Lewis, and Ivor Novello winning songwriter Amanda Ghost. The album also features a duet with soul legend Chaka Khan.
