Bluey Robinson is 20 years old and very much the boy next door. Born in 1988, he grew up on The Jackson 5, Bob Marley, Phil Collins, UB40 and The Drifters. These foundations set his musical taste and later, influenced his style today.
Robinson’s career in entertainment started in 1999 and in 2002 landed the part of Simba in the West End musical The Lion King. He was most recently featured on a T4’s Orange Rock Corp as part of the concert that was held in September 2008 at the Royal Albert Hall.
London Village Management has established the ‘Bluey Brand’ amongst his audience through a guerrilla marketing campaign across the Internet, TV and radio. The campaign has centred around social internet media, including his own YouTube Channel ‘Bluey Robinson TV’, which has already attracted over 250,000 views!
Bluey Robinson’s busking exploits have been massive hits on YouTube, featuring the singer in London’s Underground and New York City Subway.
I Know is a catchy pop tune that shows off Robinson’s incredible vocal range, with a sing a long a summer chorus that should attract plenty of radio airplay. It is available via download from all major download sites from September 28.
Watch Bluey Robinson perform I Know in the Paris Metro.
You can catch Bluey Robinson and his band ‘live’ at YoYo’s, Notting Hill Arts Club on September 3.
