Big hearted Simon Cowell has decided to purchase a Los Angeles home for singer Leona Lewis, for a reported $5million. The dollar isn’t worth much these days , but 5 million?

The minuscule music mogul has decided that Lewis will need a base in the States, if she is to cash in on her new found international success.

Apparently Cowell believes that Leona , who is currently number one in the US chart, will become a global star, “like Shirley Bassey or Whitney Houston.”

‘A source close to Cowell’ told the People, “Simon thinks she is absolutely amazing and wanted to treat her.”

Not long ago the normally ‘careful with money’ Cowell was paying off a strangers mortgage on US TV.

Perhaps he has had a bang on the head.
