Tipped by many to be the big hit of 2009, Honey Ryder have already tasted chart success with Numb, Fly Away and Choices as well as their cover of the Roy Orbison track Love In Time.

Honey Ryder will continue to build on that success with their latest release, the title track from their album Rising Up. The catchy track being a massive favourite on their Will Young tour support slot last year.

The main mix of the track is a collaboration between the band and emerging remix outfit Fat Buddha, and is accompanied by a Monty Python inspired video.  The Python team celebrate their  40th anniversary this October, where they will receive a special award at the Baftas in New York.  Martyn from Honey Ryder cites ‘The Life Of Brian’ as one of his all time favourite films.

Honey Ryder are Lindsay O’Mahoney on vocals and Martyn Shone on guitar, the pair originally met through a mutual friend at MTV. After spending some time perfecting their act with various bands on the London circuit the duo emerged on the commercial scene in 2008.

The band have quickly proved popular on radio, being championed by Janice Long and Terry Wogan on Radio 2, and have also proved to be a fantastic live act, supporting Will Young, Michael Bolton and Hue &  Cry.
