Edinburgh based Jaded Playboy got together at the start of 2007, a four piece featuring three local lads Kenny, Ross and Zander playing bass, guitar and drums respectively and complimented by the token Englishman, Scott on vocals.
Jaded Playboy had a great start to their career in 2007, recording a couple of demos and an EP, playing over thirty gigs and getting radio airplay on XFM, as well as the offer of a US publishing contract.
In 2008 the band released their second EP Retreat, generating incredible interest on its launch at The Cabaret Voltaire. An acoustic set was broadcast live on radio Talk 107 increasing attention for the band.
The latest EP Broken Heartland is released on October 5th as a digital download via iTunes and all major download sites.
Broken Heartland sees Jaded Playboy in perhaps their most melodic state to date, with echoes of REM throughout particularly on the first two tracks, Lost Inside and Hero to Zero. The title track Broken Heartlands is a real gem, an acoustic track with beautiful vocals that will haunt the listener with its dark lyrics.
