Jay-Z 11th studio album The Blueprint 3

Jay-Z has released his 11th studio album this month.  The Blueprint 3 is the last in a trilogy that started with the first Blueprint album released exactly eight years ago.

“The trilogy has come full circle”, says Jay Z.  “Blueprint encompasses the essence of those that influenced me.  It pays homage to the soul music our parents played.”  He goes on to say, “musically the album recognises that there is a generation of us that are influencing the next wave of artists. The album lays the groundwork for what can happen next”.

The Blueprint 3 album includes the UK no.1 hit single Run This Town which includes vocals from Rihanna and Kanye West. Other collaborations include Alicia Keys, Pharrell, Mr Hudson and Luke Steele.

Since his powerful headline performance at Glastonbury in 2008 Jay-Z has moved from well respected successful hip hop and rap artist to well respected successful commercial pop star in the UK.  Something that was underlined earlier this month by supporting Coldplay at Wembley Stadium.  Chris Martin is just one of many famous celebrity fans of the most successful rapper of ll time.
