Jo hamilton live internet concert

The wonderful singer/songwriter Jo Hamilton has announced plans to put on another live internet concert in December, it will be the second time that Jo has broadcast a live performance over the internet using high quality video and audio streaming.

You are invited to pull up your armchair and watch this amazing and unique singer performing in the comfort of your own home and there will even be the opportunity to talk directly to Jo via the chat room during the performance.

The show will be beamed from the same studio where much of the highly acclaimed award winning album Gown was recorded.

Obviously this will be a very intimate event designed to reach Jo Hamilton fans around the world. Tickets will be free but to be eligible for connection to this live concert you must meet one of the following criteria;

1. Be a Facebook fan of Jo or a member of the Jo Hamilton mailing list

2. Own a copy of the album Gown

Award winning Jo Hamilton is an enigma. Occasionally compared to Goldfrapp or even Bjork, she’s more likely to crash into your consciousness as some kind of perfectly imagined symbiosis of K.D. Lang fronting Sigur Ros. Stemming from a nomadic family with roots in both Kenya and Jamaica, Jo was brought up in a house two miles from the nearest neighbour in the wilds of northern Scotland.

The singer’s recollection of her primary school days in the wilderness of Northern Scotland is filled with nostalgia and is nothing short of beautiful and heart warming, she says;

“There were three of us in our one-room primary school at the top of a hill in the Highlands.  With our teacher from the Isle of Skye, we sang together, nostalgic old Gaelic lullabies and island folk songs about the land, sea, and returning home, while in the distance we could hear the roars of the rutting stags.”
