A song written by former Beatle John Lennon, but never completed, could emerge as a tribute to producer Neil Aspinall who died last month.

The song, Now And Then was written and taped by Lennon in the 1970’s, and is far from a finished article. But according to the Sun an ‘anonymous source’ claims that discussions have taken place about whether to release the song.

It is unclear whether the remaining Beatles Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr are involved in the discussions, but the source says that ‘It would take a significant amount of work to get it into a condition to be released.

If it was any good I suspect that Lennon would have finished and recorded it himself. As the title says Now An Then, this is now and that was then.
