New single – Please Don’t Tell My In-Laws (I’m An Outlaw) / Monday Morning Love Situation by jointpop

jointpop release their new double A side single ‘Please Don’t Tell My In-laws (I’m An Outlaw)’ / ‘Monday Morning Love Situation, taken from the critically acclaimed album The January Transfer Window.

Formed in 1996 in Trinidad and Tobago, jointpop have travelled across the world, from the sunny shores of Trinidad & Tobago, to Britain, playing at venues such as 100 Club, Barfly (Camden), China White and BBC Club Bush House, and then on to the Big Apple!

Needless to say, the band, Gary Hector (Singer / Songwriter / Guitar), Damon Homer (Guitar), Dion Camacho (Drums), Phil Hill (Keyboards), Jerome Girdharrie (Bass), have picked up a fair few fans on their travels, including ‘Blues Bunny’ who declared jointpop one of their top ten International Acts to pass through Glasgow in 2008!

As the name ‘jointpop’ would suggest, jointpop – fusing musical styles together rock, indie, pop, they take their influences from a wide range of artists / styles from ‘The Clash’ style rants to ‘Velvet’-like laid back grooves accompanied by Dylanesque lyrics, blended with a touch of ‘Stones,’ ‘Neil Young,’ ‘Marley’ and ‘Pistols’ controversy.
