Kate Perry stole the song title of her smash hit I Kissed a Girl, claims the writer of a similarly named tune recorded in 1995. Singer songwriter Jill Subule says she recorded her track complete with different lyrics and music back in 1995 but the singer says “You can’t copyright a title – bummer!”

At first Subule thought nothing of the coincidence and then she heard Perry saying that the song title had come to her in a dream. Subule says;

“In truth, she wrote it with a team of professional writers and was signed by the very same guy that signed me in 1995. I have not mentioned that in interviews as I don’t want to sound bitter or petty… ’cause that’s not me.”

She then went on to sound very bitter and petty as she told The Rumpus, “Okay, maybe, if I really think about it, there were a few jealous and p***ed off moments. So here goes, for the first time in an interview: F**k you Katy Perry, you f**king stupid, maybe ‘not good for the gays’, title thieving, haven’t heard much else, so not quite sure if you’re talented, f**king little slut.”

OOer! I wonder if there is any chance of kissing and making up!
