American rocker Kid Rock has scored his first UK number one with the truly awful All Summer Long.
The song has found it’s way to the top of the UK chart, having already topped the charts in Ireland for the second week.
This track makes me think of a poor mans Summer Of ‘69 by Bryan Adams, but without the originality of Adams hit. Kid Rock finds his inspiration in the piano chords from Warren Zevon’s Werewolves of London and the hook from Sweet Home Alabama.
But the songwriting is pretty abysmal and I am amazed at how this track ever got released.
