The Police reunion tour will end in New York at a location yet to be confirmed, with proceeds from the concert going to arts programming for the city’s public television stations.
The band have already donated $1million to New York Mayor Michael Bloombergs programme that will see one million trees planted in the city by the year 2017.
A statement from the band says;
“We kicked off our very first American tour at CBGB in 1978 and this summer, 30 years later, our journey will come full circle as we play our final show here in New York City.”
The Police will play their final UK gig on June 29th.
