
Lily Allen - It's Not Me, It's You goes straight to #1
Lily Allen’s second album, It’s Not Me, It’s You goes straight to #1 in UK and on the iTunes US charts and debuts at No. 5 on The Billboard 200, while The Fear is at number 1 in the UK Singles chart for the third consecutive week.
The album sold over 70,000 copies in the United States last week. That’s more than double the first week sales of Lily Allen’s 2007 debut, Alright, Still, which to date has sold over 2.5 million copies worldwide.
Lily Allen, who appears on US TV chat show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, this Wednesday, helped promote the album in the United States with performances on the Today show and the Tonight Show with Jay Leno; as well as secret show in New York.
Lily Allen co-headlined Clear Channel’s Pop Rocks Atlantis 2009 event with Kelly Clarkson in The Bahamas over the weekend.
She will be launching a North American headline tour in April.
Starting in San Diego, she will visit major cities across the United States including San Francisco, Los Angeles, Boston and New York, before her final show in Toronto, Canada on April 22nd.
It’s Not Me, It’s You received over four million listens on Myspace when the album tracks were premiered the week prior to release.
