Fallen pop idol, Michael Jackson looks likely to lose his ‘Neverland Ranch’ unless he can raise $25million in the next three weeks. The property is set to go under the hammer on March 19th, and the singer has up until that time to take action and maintain ownership of the unique piece of real estate in California.
Jackson has not lived at Neverland since 2005, when he was tried and acquitted of child molestation charges. In 2006 the authorities ordered the estate to be boarded up, after the singer failed to pay staff and maintain adequate insurance cover.
The action comes as Jackson attempts to re launch his career. Last month he released a version of The Girl is Mine with Will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas. He has also put out a 25th anniversary version of the best selling album Thriller, which is currently in the top ten album charts.
