Paolo Nutini will release the third single from the excellent number one album Sunny Side Up on October 26th, the new single will be the exuberant Pencil Full Of Lead.
An inspired choice from the singer although not an obvious single, the track features the big band sound of ragtime pop that bounces along with Nutini’s infectious vocals.
The track is written by Nutini along with Ethan Jones of Kings Of Leon fame and is one of the many highlights of possibly the most eclectic pop album of the year.
Sunny Side Up has been a permanent fixture in the UK top ten since its release in June this year and has sold over 400,000 copies during that time.
Paolo reckons the songs of Sunny Side Up are already changing the way he performs. “I have to stand with my chest out,” he says. “Different things are coming out. This record’s called ‘Sunny Side Up’ for a reason. I want to keep it positive.”
