Ramona are a four piece indie pop band from Brighton, fronted by the irresistible Karen Anne the band are causing quite a stir in the south coast music circles with their modern take on the classic sounds of the new wave era.
Inevitably given Karen Anne’s vocal style and blonde locks, comparisons have been made with early Blondie and on the evidence of their debut single How Long I would consider that a fair comparison to make.
How Long is released on September 6th, and in the meantime Ramona are in the middle of UK tour that kicked off with a rapturously received show at London’s leading day festival Wireless, where they shared the bill with the likes of Pink, Gossip and The Tings Tings, before a few regional shows, and onto the mighty T in the Park.
The band will play throughout the rest of July and into August, before returning to Brighton to gear up for their single release.
Ramona have built up a loyal fanbase with their early recordings and live shows so are well worth checking out, they will be playing at the Birmingham O2 Academy 3 tonight (July 23rd), and the remaining dates of the tour are listed below.
