The London based trio Scouting For Girls have announced the release date for their sophomore album Everybody Wants To Be On TV, but fans will have to wait until March 22nd 2010 before it is available to buy.

Roy Stride, frontman with Scouting for Girls said that the new album had been written but the band decided that it was not good enough, so it was trashed and the process restarted, “I just wanted to write the perfect pop song. We are perfectionists!”

Everybody Wants To Be On TV was recorded at Helioscentric Studios under the watchful eye of producer Andy Green, who was responsible for the triple Platinum self titled debut album from the band.

The album will be preceded by the new single This Ain’t A Love Song which will be released on March 7th 2010.

Scouting For Girls were the biggest selling British band of 2008, the debut album has sold over one million copies and featured four contagious hit singles, She’s So Lovely, Heartbeat, Elvis Ain’t Dead and It’s Not About You.

The band were also nominated for three Brit Awards and have gone on to sell out multiple tours and have most recently completed three intimate fan club Christmas parties. They will headline London’s Scala on February 11th 2010.
