Spearheading the NuDisco movement that appears to be sweeping the nation currently, Shena releases her third single Nasty Little Rumour on September 7. The single is taken from the much anticipated album One Man Woman which is released on No Prisoners Records on August 31.
Shena’s last two singles Can’t Stop The Rain and My Fantasy received extensive support through the UK airwaves, championed by BBC’s Radio 2 DJ’s including Steve Wright , Ken Bruce and Terry Wogan.
Following the success of female singers Duffy and the like, in recreating the sound of the sixties girl singers, it is no surprise that the next big thing is to revisit the early seventies disco era for inspiration. With her own unique modernist take on disco, Shena is about to become the sound of 2009.
Shena has worked with top musical artists such as James Brown, Luther Vandross, Chaka Khan, Joss Stone and Amy Winehouse as well as providing vocals on dance hits Watch Out (Alex Guadino), Guilty (De Souza) and The Weekend (Michael Gray).
