Stereophonics will be playing their special brand of pop rock to concert goers lucky enough to get their hands on tickets for the upcoming UK dates.
You can buy and sell Stereophonics UK concert tickets now.
Stereophonics have come a long way since their humble beginnings when Kelly Jones met Richard Jones in their home village of on Cwmaman in south Wales and began writing and performing songs, along with drummer Stuart Cable in the local working men’s club in 1992.
They were originally called Tragic Love Company, the name was an amalgamation of three of their favourite bands – Tragically Hip, Mother Love Bone, Bad Company. Fortunately, someone decided Tragic Love Company was a naff name and they changed it to The Stereophonics.
There was a third name change when they were the first group to sign to Richard Branson’s newly formed V2 record label in 1996, when they dropped the word ‘the’ to simply become known as Stereophonics.
Stereophonics 2008 UK tour will start in Glasgow on 2nd December and finish at London’s fantastic O2 Arena on 20 December, with two ‘homecoming’ dates in Cardiff along the way.
The set will no doubt include some of their 25 UK top 40 hit singles from their six great studio albums including Have A Nice Day, Handbags & Gladrags, Maybe Tomorrow and Dakota, along with older favourites such as A Thousand Trees, Traffic and The Bartender and The Thief.
Stereophonics UK tour tickets are now available.
The current line-up is original members Kelly Jones on vocals and guitar and Richard Jones on bass, with Javier Weyler on drums and Adam Zindani on lead guitar.
