Tina Turner Quits Retirement For World Tour

Tina Turner is planning to come out of retirement after the public response to her performance with Beyonce at the Grammy awards in Los Angeles.

“Everywhere I went people were asking me when I was going back on tour. So after a lot of thought and planning we announced an American tour. Now Europe beckons and I don’t want to let down all my loyal fans over there. See you in the New Year” said a statement issued by Turner.

The singer will kick off a world tour starting in the US city of Kansas on October 1st 2008. The show will feature songs spanning her entire career.

UK dates have been confirmed, two in London and two in Manchester, during March 2009, with other European destinations yet to be announced. Details for the UK dates are as follows:

London O2 Arena March 3/4 (2009)

Manchester MEN Arena March 30/31 (2009)
