Welsh singing legend Tom Jones says his ’ideal’ duet partner would be fellow Welsh singer Duffy. Jones made the revelation after the Grammy Foundations Starry Night Gala yesterday.
It is almost ten years since Jones released his album of duets, Reload and practically relaunched his career as the current band of entertainers of the time clamoured to sing with the ageing sexbomb.
Duffy has recently commented on how Americans think that she is Tom Jones’s daughter, something she obviously finds quite perverse. When questioned on US radio Duffy said, “I know I’m dealing with this on a daily basis. It’s kind of bizarre. You’ve just got to let go and almost laugh at it because you can’t control what people say or assume.”
The soul star added that her father John, a pub landlord from Nefyn, is “such a sweet guy. I don’t know if he has read the accusations about potential fatherhood”.
