Singer Toni Braxton, famous for the hit Unbreak My Heart, has been forced to cancel a gig after she was hospitalised with severe chest pains.

The singer was released from hospital last night and is expected to rest before resuming her five nights a week show in Las Vegas later this week.

Braxton suffers from the heart condition pericarditis- a viral inflammation of the heart as well as hypertension. Her show was scheduled to end last month, but has recently been extended until August due to popular demand.
